Fundraising in support of the Russian church.

Dear brothers and sisters, friends, guests!

Our temple conducts its activities exclusively on the voluntary donations of parishioners. Those funds that our church receives now through donations cover only 60% of the required amount, the remaining 40% are spent from the account. At the moment, the amount of money in the temple account very quickly tends to zero. Most likely, after a maximum of a year (this is a good combination of circumstances), there will be no money left for regular payments: salary to the priest, payment of electricity, payment of real estate insurance, repair of the church and refectory, and other obligatory payments. If the money runs out, then the only way out of this situation may be – the next sale of the temple building and the refectory and the purchase of a cheaper building intended for worship. The difference between the sale and the purchase can be maintained by the priest and the parish. Maybe there are other options?

In order to raise additional funds for necessary needs, a fair will be held near the Russian church, which will be held on November 23 from 11:00.

In the program of the fair:

Exhibition – sale.

Photographer Alexey Kulikov will present his work. His photographs of New Zealand’s nature, the night sky, flowers, birds and much more are varied and attractive. The vision of the surrounding world shows the author’s rich inner world.

Russian – New Zealand artist – Anton Makarov will present his work.

Lunch with Russian borsch.

An interesting event will take place in the church hall – cooking borsch according to a traditional Russian recipe. Spectators and participants of the fair will be able to take part in the preparation of borsch, as well as the chef will discover the main secret in the recipe for borsch. After the dish is ready, anyone can taste the freshly prepared traditional Russian borsch.

Musical performance.

The concert will be attended by:

Acoustic Duo “Broken Lexicon” (Alexey Medvedev, Brook Davies);

Irina Shatalova – will perform several folk dances in a traditional Russian costume;

Vladimir Zvegintsev (accordion);

Father Alexey Popkov (harp) and others.

Garage sale

For carrying out Garage sale the collection of things in good condition is announced. If someone has something that could be sold, please bring it to the temple on Saturday or Sunday. It is advisable to pre-coordinate the time of delivery of things by phone: 0212372236.

At the fair itself, everyone will be invited to purchase inexpensive things, clothes, books ….

We invite everyone to participate in this event and provide financial support to the Russian church in Wellington.

The aim of the fair is to collect 5,000 New Zealand dollars, which will be transferred to the account of the temple: 11 7247 0009754 11
